“GOOD DEEDS WEEK” 2012 CAMP!

Parents join for “sharing/ caring” time at 11:30 each day.
The children will be the behind-the-scenes team for “Good Deeds Week” Dallas 2012, and will learn lessons about planning, teamwork, in addition to having fun along the way. We will be making posters, crafts, wrapping gifts and care packages, baking cookies, holding a lemonade stand, all to benefit people in need in the Dallas community. Our mornings will also include music and movement, story-time, outdoor play, pretend play, all related to this theme of Helping Others. We will be learning together how little actions and small children can make a BIG difference!
Every afternoon/ evening there will be an opportunity for your family to participate in a related “Good Deeds Week” Dallas event if you so choose. This gives families throughout the community opportunities to give back together, creating family bonds and shaping important values for our kids. Stay tuned to mommymanders.com for more details.

“Reading is MAGIC!” Camp

We will focus on a different award-winning MAGICAL story-book each day, enjoy related crafts, magic tricks, poetry, activities, snacks, indoor and outdoor play, water play, movement and music. Our play will include activities to strengthen pre-reading/ writing skills, executive functioning skills, fine/ gross motor skills, and more! Parents will join us at 11:30 for a fun “sharing time” each day.
(Both camps will be held at Miss Lowry’s home in Lake Highlands with lots of indoor and shaded outdoor play-space. Lowry is an early childhood music educator with many years of experience teaching children. She will have a fabulous assistant with her as well!)
