3 Great Opportunities THIS month:
- “WEE Symphony”, Tuesday, Sept. 22nd, 4:00 at C.C. Young – a chance for young musicians to give back and gain experience performing at a local nursing home for a supportive and appreciative audience! Got a song? Got a dance? Got an instrument? (There is a piano on site.) We will also join together for some simple ensemble numbers, learn a little basic music theory, pass out cards and have some FUN! Great for ages 5 and up, siblings welcome, too. (And all the musicians go home with a musical token of appreciation.)
2. “Stroll-Along Sing-a-long” Monday, Sept. 28th, 4:00, The Villages of Lake Highlands – Bring your little ones after nap or after school, and we’ll spread some joy and love through MUSIC with the elderly residents at this nice place. We will gather to make cards, then pass them out as we stroll the halls and share some some favorite songs. I’ll have all my fun scarves and instruments for the kids, and every family will go home with a “Family Music CD” with some “Mommy Manders” faves! Great for kids of ALL ages, Strollers welcome 😉
3. “WEE Love Art” Birthday Party at Pebbles– Tuesday, Sept. 29th, 4:00 – We will gather to host a birthday party for some needy children and their pals at this transition housing complex for formerly homeless families in Vickery Meadows near HalfPrice Books. We will read a great “art” story-book, play some “art” games, and make an art project. AND share cake and presents, and fun outside! Also great for kids ages 5 and up.
For ALL these projects, you must register via firstname.lastname@example.org.
The $10/ child fee helps to cover the overhead and operating costs of this great organization which is doing so much GOOD in our community with the help of our youngest citizens!
